Dental Filling

Dental filling is a dental treatment applied to teeth that are decayed, broken or cracked for various reasons. It aims to restore functions lost in decayed or broken teeth.

After the decayed area of the teeth in question is thoroughly cleaned, the resulting gap is restored by filling it with different materials. Timely dental filling prevents complete loss of teeth.

Aesthetic dental filling is the name given to the process of filling the filling with a filling material in the color of the original tooth. In this way, it is possible to have teeth with a more natural and aesthetic appearance.

A brighter appearance is achieved with the aesthetic filling treatment applied to give the teeth an aesthetic appearance.

Today, aesthetic dental fillings can be applied to all teeth.

There are different types of aesthetic dental fillings. Porcelain fillings and composite fillings are among them.

How is Aesthetic Dental Filling Applied?

The area to be filled is visualized via x-ray. After the part where the filling will be made is determined exactly, the surroundings and inside of the tooth are thoroughly cleaned. The material that will be used for the filling process is prepared and the determined area is filled with this material.

It is allowed to freeze quickly with a special device. After the filling process is completed, a few attempts are made and if there are parts that bother the patient, the tooth is brought to its final and ideal state through minor retouching applications such as thinning, cutting or lowering.

Dental Filling Application Types

In aesthetic dental filling treatment, existing caries on the tooth are also cleaned. Bonding is applied to create a bond between the filling made of composite material and the tooth. The hardening process is carried out by applying radiation.

For porcelain fillings, after taking measurements, the filling preparation process is carried out in a laboratory environment. In this way, filling incompatibility problems are prevented. The bonding process of the porcelain filling is done with a special system.
