Lamina means leaf in Latin. Porcelain laminate teeth, also known as leaf porcelain, can be defined as a restoration treatment used on the tooth or teeth that require changes in color, structure or position.

For porcelain laminate application, very thin and transparent porcelain leaves are used. 0.3 to 0.7 mm on the front surfaces of the teeth without reducing their size. Thinning is done in between. Leaf porcelains prepared in a laboratory environment are glued and placed on the thinning area. In this way, tooth tissue is renewed. With Porcelain Lamina application, the targeted tooth structure is achieved.

As a result of the examination of the specialist dentist, porcelain laminate treatment is decided. After this, as the first step, intraoral measurements are taken. No abrasion is made during the measurement process. Work is carried out on the developed model. The model is analyzed with test applications carried out in the laboratory. In the final analysis, a consensus is reached between the dentist and the patient regarding the model obtained.

In the second stage, the teeth on which porcelain filling will be applied are prepared for the procedure. The necessary abrasion is made on the tooth surface. The measurement process is repeated using sensitive materials.

In the next step, the prepared temporary veneers are glued onto the tooth or teeth. It is observed whether there is any problem. If a discrepancy is observed, necessary corrections are made. If it is not visible, the preparation phase of permanent porcelain laminates is started. After the main leaf porcelain veneers are ready, they are bonded through a special process. After the bonding process is completed, the patient can start using his teeth on the same day.
